Noelle Mongene
Noelle received her Associate of Arts degree in Health from Bay Mills Community College and her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Lake Superior State University. Noelle is a PhD Candidate and her main area of research is on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education and how to increase the engagement and achievement of underrepresented populations in STEM education and careers. Mike Schoemann
Mike obtained his Bachelor of Integrative Studies degree with minors in Psychology, Sociology, and Holistic Health from Oakland University. He is currently a Master of Science student with research interests in the development of emotion regulation, depersonalization-derealization disorder, and newly emerging psychedelic assisted psychotherapy treatments for those suffering from posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). email: [email protected] |
Liz Taylor
Liz received her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science degrees from Augusta University in Georgia. Liz is a PhD candidate whose research focuses on perpetration, victimization, intimate partner violence (IPV), gender identity, and resilience. Specifically, Liz is interested in resilient strengths-based coping mechanisms as protective factors against IPV perpetration. Moreover, she has spent almost 10 years as the Project Manager at Life Paths Research Center, run by its Director, Dr. Sherry Hamby. During her time with Life Paths, she managed one of the largest psychology studies to ever be conducted in rural Appalachia with grants from the National Institutes of Health and the National Institute of Justice. Wenqi Zheng
Wenqi received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Washington, Seattle and her Master of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She is now a third-year Ph.D. student. Her primary research interests include impersonal sex, gender differences, drinking, sexual perceptions, sexual assault and sexual victimization/revictimization. Anthony Hanna
Anthony received his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science degrees at Oakland University and earned honors from the Integrative Studies Department. Anthony's research focuses on sexual assault and other traumas that may lead to future mental health disorders. He is also interested in social media’s role in the perception of sexual assault and violence. Anthony is currently a PhD student in Clinical Psychology at Wichita State University. |
Daniel Lanni
Daniel received his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science degrees at Oakland University. Daniel is currently attending the Clinical Community Psychology Ph.D. program at Georgia State University. Daniel is interested in the relationship between alcohol use/abuse, emotion regulation, hostile attitudes toward women, and sexual assault perpetration. Additionally, he is also interested developing a social norms-based intervention to reduce sexual assault perpetration. Daniel was a graduate assistant evaluating a norms-based intervention that focused on alcohol use and mental health in Oakland University’s student population. |
Sarah Mayville
Sarah received her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science in Psychology from Oakland University, with a minor in Criminal Justice. Sarah’s research focuses on intimate partner violence, sexual assault perpetration, the emotional components of hate crimes, and the perception of gun use in various populations. |
Katie Mills
Katie graduated from Oakland University with her Master of Science in Experimental Psychology and Lake Superior State University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a minor in counseling, and an Honors degree. She worked at a women's shelter for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in Northern Michigan. Katie is currently attending the Counseling Program at Oakland University. |
Travis Ray
Travis N. Ray, Ph.D. is a Research Psychologist at the Naval Health Research Center supporting the Millennium Cohort Family Study—a population-based longitudinal study examining the effects of military service on the health and wellbeing of personnel and their families. He manages the project’s Relationship Adjustment portfolio, which encompasses research on marital quality/satisfaction, family resilience, and interpersonal violence within military contexts. His primary research interests consist of examining risk and protective factors of aggression perpetration and victimization, including sexual assault and intimate partner violence. |
Matt Young
Matt received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Human Development Family Science from Louisiana Tech University and a Master of Science in Experimental Psychology at Oakland University. Matt's research interests include masculine norms, sexual violence, empathy, and social intelligence. |
